Xin Hu

Xin was born in Xi’an, China. She studied materials science and engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University, where, under the supervision of Professor Zhicheng Zhang and Professor Yuansuo Zheng, she received her BS in 2009 and her PhD in 2014. She moved to Nanjing Tech University as an assistant professor in fall 2014. In April 2018, she joined the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago as a postdoctoral scholar under the supervision of Professor Rowan and Professor Nealey. Her current research interests are focused on the functionalization of cellulose manocrystals (CNCs), reversible deactivated radical polymerization (RDRP) and ring-opening polymerization (ROP).

Xin's current research is focused on the functionalization of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and high performance polymeric functional materials.
