Novia Pagone is the Associate Dean of Students at the Institute for Molecular Engineering. She works closely with the Associate Executive Director on all matters related to student administration, support, and programming. This includes admissions and recruitment; matriculation, including onboarding, orientation and training; data management and reporting; and student communications. Novia also serves as the designee in emergency response management matters and represents IME on university committees.
Novia brings to IME several years of administrative experience in student affairs. Her most recent role was in the Office of the Dean of Students in the College as the Senior Advisor for Curricular Planning. Past roles at the University include Program Director for UChicago Careers in Public & Social Service and Associate Director for Undergraduate Student Preparation in the Office of Career Advancement. She received her PhD in Hispanic Studies from the University of Chicago, where she also taught as a lecturer.
