Ashley was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. She received a B.A. in Chemistry from Occidental College and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University in 2023. During her undergraduate studies, she worked on a variety of projects including flow batteries at Occidental, and atomic simulations of lithium metal oxide cathodes at Columbia. For junior year summer, she researched lithium metal batteries at NASA Langley Research Center. She joined the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago in Fall of 2023 and is being advised by Professor Shrayesh Patel.
