Nealey Group

Faxue Li

Dr. Li received his MS in textile materials from Donghua University in Shanghai and then pursued his doctoral study in textile materials at Donghua University and Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Upon completion of his PhD degree, he joined the faculty of the College of Textile at Donghua University and is now an Associate Professor. He joined the Nealey group as a visiting scholar in October 2013.

Dr. Li is now exploring the directed self-assembly behavior of block copolymers that were blended with small molecules. The prepared supramolecular system can be self-assembled in the form of lamellar or cylinder structure perpendicular to the surface of chemical pattern modified wafer, with a specific focus on the application in the field of nanolithography. His research interests also include the design, synthesis, and characterization of biodegradable copolymers, with an emphasis on control and development of polymer aggregated structure as well as property variation by changing the composition and processing.
