Devin's research utilizes quantitative imaging of genetically encoded metabolic sensors to interrogate the mechanism of mechanical force translation into chemical energy. She studies this in two different mammalian systems at the single-cell level: endothelial cells in response to hemodynamic flow and T-cell activation in response to receptor/ligand interactions.
