IME inaugurates new class of fellows

In 2015, the Institute for Molecular Engineering (IME) held a reception to recognize the newest class of IME Fellows. IME Fellows represents recognized thought leaders and esteemed research pioneers across the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, and Medicine.

“We are delighted to have this extraordinary set of scientists and engineers as new IME Fellows,” said David Awschalom, chair of the IME Fellowship Committee. “They have been extremely helpful in planning both our current and future research directions, as well as curriculum design and industrial interactions. From faculty recruitment to advising our graduate students, these Fellows have had and will continue to have a significant impact on our development.”

Appointed to a term of three years, IME Fellows are expected to actively engage in IME’s strategic planning and initiatives including faculty recruiting, collaboration on research and education programs, joint efforts in secure research funding, and co-advising graduate students.
